Outstanding Performances & Homework…

Performance Day

Hi Moms and Dads!

We had a wonderful performance day last Friday, and It was so nice to see so many of you turn up to support the event.  I know the children were excited to have you there and your continued support is an invaluable contribution to the continued success of your children here at GIS.  So, thank you so very much to each and everyone of you that were able to join us and attend the special event.

I hope you have noticed the little red card in the front of your communication books, as they are a link to get you started accessing one of the homework website we use here at GIS. We have created user accounts for the pupils in Year 1 and we have been practising logging in here at school already.  When we spoke before the Christmas break, some of you have expressed an interest in Math homework to help the students at home for a little extra learning support so we set up free accounts to use at  Again, as I have said to some of you before, this is completely optional homework, so please don’t feel pressured to do it should you find yourself pressed for time during the week. However, should you like to use this resource at home, i will be changing the content on a weekly basis to allow you to keep up with the material we cover in class.  Our online homework day will be on Wednesdays, and I will endeavor to change up the activities to match the content we’re currently covering in class.

Finally, don’t forget we will be on mid-term break next week but I will update studyladder midweek in case you want a little extra practice over the holiday.  School will resume as normal on the 26th of February, so please enjoy your break next week.  Take care and see you soon!

Mr. Tom
